Speech-Language Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)

Although our primary focus at BreatheWorks is Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, our team includes multi-passionate Speech Pathologists with a variety of specialties.

We have clinicians who are incredibly skilled in working with people on the autism spectrum, parent training, and we host some social communication groups! Many of our SLPs love working on language development and disorders as well as fluency (stuttering).

Several of our clinicians specialize in voice disorders, and are experienced in working with people with Parkinson’s, with training in both LSVT and Speak-Out. Our voice speciality SLPs also provide services for gender affirmation, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal cord dysfunction and more.

Our SLPs are also trained to provide evaluation and intervention for neurological issues, including TBI, stroke, dementia, dysarthria, and ALS.

Just call and let us know what your needs are and our scheduler will help you find the clinician that is best suited for your needs. Our team evaluates and treats the full breadth of speech, language, and communication disorders and delays across the lifespan.

How We Can Help

BreatheWorks clinicians analyze your speech in conversation, and map your voice quality, resonance and pitch. Then comes a tailored re-education of your core body support, posture, respiration, and orofacial musculature. This can be a complex strategy involving your tongue, lips, jaw, pharynx, and head and neck muscles. The aim is optimal mobility, range of motion, symmetry, strength, and coordination. It is a full-body approach. Each person is unique, of course, but we are typically able to treat and discharge in 3 or 4 months.

Talk, eat, sleep, breathe better.

Feel better.
